Clients. When you request services, we collect the contact and scheduling details needed to fulfill the request, such as your name, organization, email address, phone number, and assignment details.
Interpreters and translators. When you express interest in working with us or complete onboarding, we collect your name, contact details, languages, qualifications, and the information required to contract with and pay you. If you provide a mobile number, we use it to send SMS text messages about assignments as described below.
Website visitors. Our website does not require an account and does not use tracking cookies. Our web host may record standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and operational purposes.
How we use information
We use personal information to provide and schedule language services, to communicate with clients and interpreters about assignments, to meet our contractual, legal, and professional obligations, and to maintain the security of our operations. We do not sell personal information.
SMS text messages
Lan Do & Associates sends SMS text messages to contracted interpreters about their assignments, including offers of new assignments and confirmations of booked assignments. We do not send marketing or promotional messages. Interpreters agree to receive these messages by providing their mobile number and accepting the contractor agreement during onboarding. Message frequency varies with assignment activity. Message and data rates may apply.
Your mobile number is used only to communicate about assignments. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

How we share information
We share personal information only as needed to deliver our services: with the client and interpreter assigned to a given engagement, with service providers who help us operate (such as scheduling, messaging, and payment processors) and who are bound to use it only on our behalf, and when required by law or to protect our rights. We handle protected health information in accordance with HIPAA and our agreements with covered entities.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. We keep information for as long as needed to provide services, meet legal and contractual obligations, and resolve disputes.
